The OCN Blizzard (20-8-3) will look to improve their record versus the Wolverines (12-11-3) to 4-0-1 with a win tonight. Waywayseecappo beat the Blizzard 6-5 in a shootout the last time the two teams faced off in Wayway.
OCN is in the midst of a two game losing skid, both losses to divisional opponents who are chasing them in the standings, a 3-2 loss to Dauphin on Friday and a 6-5 OT loss in Swan River on Sunday.
Blizzard will have to shut down Brett Pinkerton and Russell Turner without the help of Kolton Baptiste who's out for an undetermined amount of time with an ankle sprain.
Pinkerton and Turner have 29 and 28 points respectively.
On the special teams side OCN has the advantage on the PK (84.24% /1st) compared to Waywayseecappo's numbers (77.54%/ 8th).
While on the power play Waywayseecappo like every other team in the MJHL has better PP numbers than the OCN Blizzard at (18.49%/ 8th) compared to OCN's (15.57%/ 11th).
Game is on the air tonight, pre-game at 7:15 - Post at 7:30.
Good luck boys...if you stay away from the penalty box and if the ref kings are on our side or at least not against us, we will bring home a couple of wins. Any updates on Teej and Garick?
