Roger Tagoona |
He's a big boy at 6'0, 195lbs and plays a physical game.
Tagoona has played 126 games in the SJHL racking up 70 points in parts of three seasons with Melville, Battlefords and Estevan.
The Rankin Inlet Native has scored 26 goals over his Jr.A career and averages 0.55 points per game.
Tagoona is from Rankin Inlet, Nunavut and played midget hockey with the NorMan Northstars.
Will hopefully have an interview and more information later today.
Tagoona will practice with the team today, possibly play tomorrow in Neepawa.
**EDIT: Tagoona is suspended for 2 games and will serve the suspension from the SJHL. Tagoona's first chance to play will be Sunday in Swan River.**
I would expect maybe another move from the Blizzard this week.
Here are Tagoona's stats.
Well an interesting acquisition. His numbers have dropped over the past couple of years. It would be interesting to see the thought process behind this with Derek.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to have something from Derek today or tomorrow.
DeleteApparently Swan River picked up Olson from Virden. This is a pretty significant acquisition. Both Dauphin and Swan continue to get stronger, while we maintain status quo. Excluding Tagoona, who's numbers don't match the impact of Olson (Stamps) and Gaudet (Kings).
ReplyDeleteAs I foreshadowed a little in the blog, I'm sure the Blizzard staff are working hard at getting something done for an impact player. There's still lots of time.
ReplyDeleteDauphin had to add gaudet because they losr hurley who was their leading scorer to the dub.
ReplyDeleteBrad, did tthey get Waskiwitch from Battlefords?
ReplyDeleteYes they did! Post is up.
Deleteyou need not post this..... but it was seen that you twitted "Waskewitch for futures"... people are watching..lol
ReplyDeleteHaha I was in the middle of writing up a post, had just got off the phone with Fontaine when I *tweeted (that's the proper verbage ;)) and yes OCN has picked up Waskewitch.
Deletehaha back at me.... I have trouble using computers let alone the tweet world so I may sound like a twit at times.
ReplyDeleteI hope he reports.
Probably for the best that you don't! He's driving down tomorrow.
