Revenge.
After handing the Blizzard their first and only loss of the season the Steinbach Pistons were outplayed on a neutral ice surface tonight.
This afternoon's game almost had a playoff pace to it, lot's of rushes, blocked shots, big saves and long stretches of uninterrupted play.
The defense broke down a bit towards the end, TJ Constant was selfish on the puck just inside the Steinbach zone which led to the Pistons goal on a 3-0 rush.
The Blizzard had a much easier time getting space down the middle of the ice tonight with the regulation sized ice surface, they passed well and were great along the boards.
Very few times were the Blizzard unable to break out of their own zone except for the last 10 minutes of play where again they ran into penalty trouble
A very good game for the Blizzard as they pick up two points against a team who ruined their streak. They got traffic to the net, created chances with hard work and strong board play and crashed the net for rebounds.
Although they did take another 8 penalties, that number will have to drop.
