We've broadcast 15 of our 40 games so far this season.
I want to know your thoughts, what you like, don't like about the blog and on air broadcasts.
Do you want more audio? Pictures? Any special features during broadcasts?
Comment below and let me know!
More Pictures would be great!
ReplyDeleteMaybe a 'life on the road' photo style blog!
Keep up the great work!
I have been meaning to do a life on the road blog. Maybe when we head to Wayway then Virden in 3 weeks! I will try and get more pictures! Thanks for the input.
DeleteBrad this blog is very informing and for the games that have been broadcast is just great to hear all the action on and off the ice. Goog job and also the interviews are nice to keep the listeners up to date in all the happenings with the Blizzard. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteYou know you don't have to suck up to me....
DeleteThanks for the kind words!
Like all the information that you provide including topics that don't just pertain to the on ice action. Your audio from the other night adds excitement for all the fans. The boys do alot for the community and schools so maybe in your interviews you could touch briefly on some of that. Keep up the great work Brad..and we aren't really sucking up. It's such a great idea what the club has done with the programs and highlighting the players and their interests, who knows one or more signed programs could be worth money one ay.
ReplyDeleteThat is true! They have been doing a good amount of community work. I know that Clay gets five or so players to read at story time at the library every Monday. Thanks for the input!
DeleteBrad...You are doing a first class job. Your interviews are my favorite, especially when you ask some tough questions. The constant flow of information from the Blizzard organization has put a stop to all the rumors and back biting that was so much of the last few years. Keep up the good work. My only fear is that you won't be around long as southern radio / TV stations come looking. Always remember where you come from.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind words! Don't worry about TV stations... not with this face! ahah
DeleteI feel you have been doing very well at both your Broadcasting and Blog. You keep the fans informed and provide a broad aray of information. It is good to hear about the North Stars as well, we do have a few local boys there.
ReplyDeleteThe interviews are nice to hear. Fontaine has provided us with some updates on transactions, which is great to hear as a fan. However, has yet to land the person he's targetting. As a result I wonder if it best he keep his cards closer to his chest at time. But that's a Fontaine issue not a Karp thing. As mentioned earlier you do ask some tough questions of the GM and coaching staff. Good on you. It's called doing your job.
Your preview of peoples comments/posts I feel is good. It siphons out the bashing that Smalley's blog alway got. Especially after McMillan left as there was nobody there to defend the team. I'm sure this system does create a bit more work for you with keeping up on the posts.

You couldn't give me an A-!??? Haha thank you!
DeleteI had to consider a Probationary period, plus "Expert" status elibility. The criteria being attainable only after year two!
Deletehaha
Don't say or write Blizzards. no s. Also, when you are writing about Northern Manitoba teams or talking about them on your Monday radio show don't forget about the Jr B Norway House North Stars. But awesome job so far.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever said or written blizzards.... Thanks for the pointer towards Norway House and thanks for the compliment!
DeleteAnd if I did chances are I didn't mean it as a proper name....
