Blizzard Pickup a D and G from Neepawa

The OCN Blizzard and Neepawa Natives completed a trade this evening.

To OCN: D - Brendan Dusik (94) 6'4 210lbs from Oak Bluff, MB.
2011-2012 Stats: 0 G, 2A, 91PIM, 46 GP

                G- Alex Henry (94) 5'10 170lbs from Winnipeg, MB.
2011-2012 Stats: 2 W, 20 L, 28 GP, 4.57 GAA, .884 SV%

To Neepawa: List rights to Duncan Campbell and a 6th round draft pick.

OCN is hoping that Henry can come in and compete for the #1 spot with Justin McDonald. Mitchell Backhouse injured his knee practice today and trainer Cal Asham believes he will be out for an extended period of time. As for Dusik he'll slot right into that fifth slot on the blue line. A big physical defensemen who can and is willing to fight.

It's another move that adds some depth to what is already a deeper team than last season. Exciting time to be a Blizzard fan. The players are there, it's now up to the coaches to bring this group together.
