Winnipeg Blues D-man Ben Sveinson has received a two game suspension from the MJHL for his hit to the head of Blizzard forward Wilson Dumais on Saturday.
Dumais left the ice for a short period of time bloodied but did continue to play.
Garick Gray jumped on Sveinson immediately after the hit just on the Blues blue line.
Gray of course was on the receiving end of a hit to the head from Virden's Chase Wichellman which saw Wichellman receive a 2 game suspension. Gray suffered a concussion on the play and his first game back was Saturday against Winnipeg.

Blizzard 6 - Blues 3
What a hockey game.
That was the most exciting game at the GLMC all season, great speed and skill by both teams plus lots of physical play.
The Blues came up to OCN and didn't back down, they stood their ground and surprised me with their physical play tonight.
Despite a 21 minute delay to tonight's game due to issues with the glass behind the Blues goal Winnipeg came out with some serious jump in the first few minutes and controlled the play.
The Blizzard were able to steer through the onslaught and TJ Constant's PP/ Teddy Bear goal changed the momentum. TJ had a great night with 1G, 2A as well as being in the pocket of Olinyk the whole night.
Thomas Ward-Cardinal picked up two goals tonight and had another strong game.
The whole crew showed up to work tonight, no one shied away from the physical play. Especially Garick Gray, which is a great sign for a kid returning from a concussion.
The Blizzard were able to ride the wave and continue to pull ahead of Winnipeg regularly despite the Blues scoring in the last minute of the 1st and second periods to pull within one.
OCN kept their heads on straight and gutted out a big win at home against a team that has some very impressive offensive talent.
The depth that GM Derek Fontaine has built really showed up tonight, the first, second and third lines all created opportunities.
The teddy bear toss was a success, hope to have an official number on that tomorrow.
The Blizzard host the Flyers at 7PM tomorrow night, the game will NOT be broadcast on the air.
Hope you all enjoyed the game at the rink, in the car or at home.
And if you need a ride tonight Operation Red Nose is out - call 623-3300.

Blizzard vs Blues Preview + Teddy Bear Toss
It's another big match up for the OCN Blizzard (22-8-3), essentially every game up to the break is either against a top team or in the division (except for Winkler tomorrow).
The Winnipeg Blues (20-9-0) roll into town on Teddy Bear Toss night. The Blues gave the Blizzard a bit of a boost last night beating the Stampeders 4-3 in overtime.
Meanwhile the Virden Oil Capitals stunned the Dauphin Kings at Credit Union Place 7-4.
OCN got some help last night and can increase their cushion on top spot in the league with a win against the high flying Winnipeg Blues who boast the MJHL's only NHL draft ranked player in Paul Stoykewych (Kurt Keats was in the preseason rankings but fell off in the central scouting mid season report).
The Blues come into tonight's match up having gone 6-4 in their last ten, while OCN is 6-2-2.
The Blues game is all about offence, open play with tons of speed and skill they average a blistering league high of 4.62 goals and their 3.17 goals against per game is 4th best in the MJHL.
Meanwhile OCN allows the a league best of 2.79 goals per game while scoring 3.82 goals per game which is fourth in the league (see a pattern?)
It's a battle of offense versus defense tonight.
As is only natural with such a high scoring team the Blues have one of the top PP units in the league at 22.54% (3rd) while their PK is at 79.84% (4th).
For the home team things haven't changed for OCN as they still boast the worst PP in the league (15.75%) and the best PK (84.57%)
Will have more on the Blizzard lineup a little later on, TJ Constant to make his return tonight, Gray was expected to return this weekend, will find out if he's in the lineup a little closer to game time.
Here are the top 5 leading scorers for the Blues:
9-Connor Cleverly (92) - 17G, 15A - 32PTS
8-Jake Heisinger (92) - 10G, 22A - 32PTS
21-Jeremy Olinyk (92) - 10G, 20A - 30PTS
11-Kurt Keats (95) - 13G, 15A - 28PTS
12-Jared Morris (93) - 10G, 15A - 25PTS
Tonight is also the Teddy Bear Toss. Every time the OCN Blizzard score fans are asked to throw teddy bears on the ice. All the stuffed animals will be donated to charity. They held the same event at a Calgary Hitmen game a few weeks ago and it went pretty well...
Here's a 4th Line Hockey Show special with Keats and Stoykewych from last February before they went to the World U-17's...

OCN Blues 8 - The Pas Huskies 7
Had the chance to watch an exhibition game at the Roy H Johnston arena featuring an exhibition game between OCN and The Pas' Novice teams.
It was a great back and forth game with plenty of scoring.
It's always nice to go back and watch minor hockey, when the kids just play to play. I think sometimes we all forget that this is just a game.
Was great to watch kids fall, trip and slide their way across the ice all the while a gigantic smile from ear to ear.
I remember the game being faster at that age for some reason... haha. As a goalie I always hated that one kid on every team who could lift the puck....
Congratulations to both teams on a hard fought game!
Some good hockey players on both sides of the Saskatchewan river!
I think Derek Fontaine should watch a few games for his auto-protects for the 2017 MJHL entry draft!
Enjoy your Sunday!

Six from MJHL Make Team West WJAC Camp
Five players out of the forty who attended the MJHL Team West evaluation camp will be heading to Calgary for the main selection camp.
OCN Blizzard players Wilson Dumais, TJ Constant and Garick Gray all got snubbed.
The five players selected are:
Parker Thomas (F) - Selkirk: 11G, 6A - 12GP
Kurt Keats (F) - Winnipeg: 7G, 8A - 12GP
Denis Bosc (F) - Steinbach: 7G, 5A - 11GP
Tanner Jago (D) - Winkler: 6G, 6A - 13GP
Paul Stoykewych (D) - Winnipeg: 1G, 7A - 12GP
Hudson Friesen (F) - Selkirk: 3G, 6A - 10GP
I don't know how someone like Brenden Hurley from Dauphin gets snubbed over Friesen (no disrespect to Friesen), or how a guy with a complete game like Wilson Dumais is bumped as well.
Interesting to note all five players are from teams within an hour of Winnipeg.

Game Day Preview vs Winnipeg Blues
It was billed as a battle of the giants at the showcase last weekend, since then the Portage Terriers have taken a three point edge on the Blues in the Addison division and the Blues now sit seven points back of the OCN Blizzard.
It will still be a tough test, the Blues are a good team with tons of offensive firepower.
The Blizzard come into tonight's game with a record of 8-1-1 good for 17 points and first overall in the league standings, the Blues meanwhile sit at 5-3 for 10 points and second in the Addison division.
The Blues are on a three game losing skid after suffering losses to Virden, Neepawa and a spanking by Winkler 7-3 last night.
TRENDS
The Blues strength lies in their offensive power having scored a league leading 38 goals on the season but have allowed an average of 3.62 goals against in their 8 games this season their goaltenders also have a combined save percentage of just .879%
In their last three losses the Blues have allowed a total of 16 goals and scored 11 themselves.
Meanwhile for the OCN Blizzard their last three games have all been decided by just one goal. The first a 2-1 SO win over Portage, followed by a 3-2 win over Dauphin on Tuesday and last nights 3-2 OT loss to Selkirk.
In that time frame the Blizzard allowed six goals and scored six themselves (SO winner doesn't count).
The Blizzards strength of late has been in goal as the offence has not been as dominant as it was earlier in the season. The Blizzard's combined save percentage is first in the league at .956%.
