Blizzard 7 - Oil Capitals 2

The next time Tyler Grove scores 4 goals and picks up one assist he has to throw in a moon walk... like Kovalev did with the Sens.

Again the Blizzard came out a little flat tonight as Virden controlled the tempo but they were able to head into the second period down by just a goal. Alex Henry kept the Blizzard in the game for the first 20 minutes.

The Blizzard took the lead in the second thanks to Grove and never looked back. One thing that OCN did tonight which they haven't done nearly enough this season is go for the kill. Up 4-1 heading into the third period the Blizzard didn't close up defensively but kept throttling the Oil Captials and widened the margin.

Killer instinct was there tonight.

Once OCN started to really skate Virden couldn't keep up, that was pretty clear.

It was a fun game for the fans to watch, I gave my neighbour a ticket to the game, he told me afterwards he won't miss a game again this year. They're fast, physical and talented and one heck of a hockey team.

Congratulations to Edward Bayer on his first MJHL goal, not the prettiest but it went in. Also to Grove and Brady Constant who picked up five points a piece.

    1. He needs a few stitches as he got a cut on the forehead, as for a concussion that's still being figured out. Should know more later this week.

  2. Nice game Blizz. And it was nice to read this morning that the boys kept their cool and
not retailate for the head check to Gray. Now that is what i call smart hockey and who ever is in the lineup keep playing this tpye of game and the league will look at this team and take notice and will have to bring there best to compete to play the team north of 58. Give them hell in south this weekend.OCn OCn OCN/////////
