* My apologies to Daniel Stagg, I originally left him off the scratched list. Just an error on my part.

* Of course this lineup is good barring injuries, illness, family emergencies or just change of heart from the coaches.

You may be wondering who Fontaine is , that's Zach Fontaine, a '93 born. Apparently he had a great fight last night in Neepawa.

Derek is still trying to make a move for a replacement for Ward-Cardinal, in that case Fontaine would stick around as a #7 D-Man.

There may also be another deal in the works to bring in another top four d-man not involving Ward-Cardinal. The Blizzard are just waiting to see how the chips fall.

Here is an interview with Derek Fontaine.

Here is an interview with Jim Mollard.

  1. Well it should make for a good game. I'm thinking Swan is going to be tough this year as well. We always seem to play a good game agaisnt them.

  2. We will see how it breaks down, I think Swan should have a decent team, especially with Valentino returning. Opening up the season with a home and home against a rival is always fun!

  3. I'm curious as to what is going on with any potential trade for Thomas Ward-Cardinal. Anymore on that front? Will we actually get something for him or will we get what we actually paid for him initially. Which If I'm not mistaken was for futures! Better known as cash. What team will give up players for a guy who will walk out on anyteam because of attitude.

Just wondering... I'm bored waiting for Friday's game.

  4. All I can say is they are still working on a trade, I know that Derek wants players in return. If that happens or if a trade eventually happens and it's for futures I couldn't say. Anything further than that would just be speculation.
